Trepanation

Trepanation is the medical term for making a hole in the human skull. Body modification fans like to call it "opening the third eye". I call it cutting a hole in your skull.
For whatever reason, there’s been some renewed popularity in this practice, which I attribute to the shoddy quality of current street drugs.

Anyway, here’s the International Trepanation Advocacy Group, who’s members are trying to get trepanning to be seen as legitimate elective surgery. But the reason I’m mentioning this here, is because they’re looking for volunteers to be trepanned for "scientific study". The best part? They want you to pay for the surgery, MRI’s, and whatnot. Heh. Suckers.
