Myspace nuisance

I posted the entry about my sister being held hostage on myspace and I got a response from Chuy and it said this:

don't hate mexico, hate the the politics but not the people... what you need to know more is the corruption and your own family (cara vemos ... corazones no sabemos). you could be imazed of the realization and knowing that the border town are the most dangerous places to live. if you hate mexico... than do something about it and take action and not just the talking. you really don't know the history of mexico and what's going on.


My response to him was:

I really don't know what's going on? where do you get the nerve to tell me "you don't know what's going on"?
I never said I hated the people in Mexico. I hate that this happened to my family who has nothing to do with politics or corruption. You don't think I realize how dangerous borders are? I lived in Juarez half of my life! I had an uncle killed and burned to death, my brother's house broken into several times, my older sister carjacked, my nephew beat up. Why do you think I live here? I am SCARED to live in Juarez.
You say for me to do something and not just talk about it. What do you want me to do? kill the mexican president? go after the bastards that held my sister hostage and torture them? Tell me, Mr walk-the-walk, what am I expected to do here for Mexico and our people? Better yet, what are YOU doing to make Mexico better?


I still have not heard back from the guy. I'm not sure if I was misunderstanding him or if he really was trying to be an ass with his comments.

Tell you the truth: i lived in mexico half of my life too and nothing like this happen to me nor my family. i'm sorry about the tragedy that your familiy went through, i don't know the history but it's sad. what am i doing to better Mexico?????? mmmm well.... I've been participating with the different political parties such as PAN, PRI (this party is full of shit), PRD and so on, to better and to inform the relation between the tourist and the security of mexico. i could tell you millions of things but i know that we are not going to change mexico in one day... in the past 4 years i know the the security or the police force in the border has gone worse but that wasn't the presidents fault... eran los diputados (51% are from PRI)!!! they created a different force called "la zeta" , these guys now work for the narcs, there ex-soilders and cops. am i'm doing something for mexico... maybe not but my family are, 4 of them are lawyers some of them are teachers, doctors, one of them is running for "presidente municipal del partido de trabajo PT" and so on. Believe me... Mexico will become first world country within 15 years IF PRI stay away from power.

Is this a contest to see who's family has more schooling? What makes you think that my family (living in Juarez) are not doing anything there?

How do you participate with the partidos in Mexico? How could I participate from here? I was born in the US so I can't vote and even if I could vote, what good is that? corruption is just so out of hand that voting seems like it's pointless.

I have no idea what part of Mexico you are from but I'm sure you've heard about the "muertas en juarez" which is about at least 300 women killed there. Juarez is not a very safe place to live in. I'm sure you are thankful that nothing like this has ever happened to you. Maybe it's just bad luck or just the fact that safety is an issue in Juarez but many things happen there. Sadly, my family has gone through a lot and seen a lot of violence. Please don't judge me without knowing me or my family. I don't appreciate you assuming that my family is corrupt because all this has happened to them.

i ain't judging you or your family, so don't take it out on me and i was also born in the u.s. and you could become double citizen so you could have equal rights on both countries. yes i've heard the killings that goes on chihuahua, but who knows? could be white freeks killing these young girls or could be the chief of police in juarez, who knows. have you seen the movie "maria llena eres de gracia"? look at it, it's good. if i got you pissed off for what i said... my apology, i don't judge nobody... God does.

Si mire la pelicula "Maria llena de gracia" y me gusto. Alguien me habia dicho que no podia adquirir ciudadania en Estados Unidos y en Mexico a la misma vez. I'm not taking it out on you at all! I'm just responding to your rude (at least I thought it was) comment about me not knowing my family or Mexico's history. I took it as an insult coming from a stranger. My initial comment was "I hate Mexico" because of what has been happening with my family. When we are upset, we say things that probably should not be taken literally. This was one of those cases. I don't "literally" hate Mexico or the people. I do, however, hate where corruption is taking Mexico and the people living there. Perhaps you should use better words when you are responding to a personal entry such as the one you responded to on my journal. I was not sure whether you were just trying to be an asshole or if I was just reading you wrong.
